Man-Centered evangelism* Man-centered evangelism leads men to believe that they are saved by a decision. God-centered evangelism teaches that man's decision is a result of what God does by His Word and Spirit, and thus saved men lay the crown of their salvation at God's feet and not at their own, excluding all boasting. We see it in a passage like Psalm 110:3, ''Thy people shall be made willing in the day of thy power." Or, in such passages as Psalm 65:4, "Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts ... ," or I John 4:19, "We love him, because He first loved us.'' This great truth boxes sinners up to the mercy of God. |
